The satin black enameled interior is durable and designed to withstand higher surface temperatures, sealing the food quickly whilst the grooves drain fats to collect between the ribs and re-create professional sear lines and flavour.

The interior enamel has excellent food release and is enhanced once a natural surface patina develops. Food release similar to a non-stick finish can be achieved so little or no oil is required for healthier cooking of meat, vegetables or even flatbread.

Crafted in Northern France since 1925. Le Creuset cast iron cookware is made in individual sand moulds using 85% recycled iron and steel resulting in a unique hand finished piece of cookware which evenly and efficiently retains heat.  Each piece is manually inspected throughout the manufacturing process and supported by a lifetime limited warranty for peace of mind.
