A mid-season dessert apple, Red Devil was bred in Kent (1979) from Apple Discovery. It’s a self-fertile variety, making it an excellent choice for small gardens or as a single tree. Known for its striking red skin and pink-tinged, strawberry-flavoured flesh, it also produces a beautiful pink juice—perfect for both eating fresh and juicing.

🍎 Fruit:

• Colour: Intensely red, medium-sized fruit

• Flesh: Pink-tinged, juicy, sweet with a balanced acidity and strawberry flavour

• Juice: Naturally pink, well-balanced and flavourful

• Harvest: Pick in late September

• Storage: Keeps until October–November

🌿 Tree Habit:

• Growth: Moderately vigorous, upright and spreading

• Cropping: Heavy cropper, comes early into bearing

• Fruit type: Spur-bearer

• Site: Prefers some shelter

• Soil: Any reasonably well-drained soil

• Disease resistance: Good resistance to scab and mildew – suitable for wetter areas

• Self-fertile (Pollination Group 3) – also compatible with Groups 2, 3, and 4
