The rapid charge technology selects the optimum voltage and current and temperature is controlled by the forced air system that circulates air through the battery to prevent overheating. and a full charge sound alert confirms when the charge cycle is complete.
The DC18RD Will charge 18v and 14.4v LXT slide battery's in the below times:

- 4.0Ah - 36 minutes
- 5.0Ah - 45 minutes
- 6.0Ah - 55 minutes
