Aubergine ‘Bonica’
A popular RHS AGM French variety, Aubergine ‘Bonica’ produces heavy crops of long, glossy purple fruits with excellent flavour. Early ripening and reliable, it crops well throughout the season.
Ideal for greenhouse growing, it also performs well in patio containers with support.

Sowing & Growing

Sow: Feb–May indoors, Mar–Apr outdoors

Soak seeds for 24 hours before sowing

Germinate at 18–21°C (10–14 days)

Transplant into pots when large enough to handle
Plant out once frost risk has passed, in full sun and a sheltered position.
Space plants 90cm apart or grow 2 per growbag under cover.
