Spice up your summer salads with this peppery-tasting Daikon Radish 'Misato Rose Flesh’. Distinctive and attractive, this variety is commonly known as ‘watermelon radish’ for its unique appearance, with creamy-white to pale green outer skin and bright purple-pink flesh inside. These flavoursome radishes have a crisp bite and the bicolour makes for decorative slices, ideal in salads and stir fries or as a pretty garnish in starters and side dishes.

Summer sowings grow quickly and will be ready to harvest in 28 days.

Sow seeds February to March under glass. Sow April to September outdoors. Sow seeds in well prepared, fertile soil 1cm (½in) deep, thinly in broad drills. Allow about 30cm (12in) between drills.
